Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of the GuardTune website, customer account services, licensing services and related online services. By using GuardTune services, you agree to these Terms. Installation and use of the GuardTune Windows application are also governed by the GuardTune End User License Agreement.

Eligibility and accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating or using a GuardTune account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity performed through your account.

You must not attempt to gain unauthorized access to GuardTune systems, licensing infrastructure, other customer accounts or protected services.

Trial use

GuardTune may provide a limited free trial. The trial period begins according to the trial information displayed during installation or activation. A trial is associated with the applicable device and/or account and does not restart simply because GuardTune is uninstalled and reinstalled.

GuardTune may use server-side information to determine trial eligibility and expiry.

Paid licenses

Paid GuardTune licenses are subject to the plan, duration and device limit displayed at the time of purchase. A license may not be shared, resold, transferred or used on more devices than permitted unless GuardTune expressly allows it. GuardTune may require periodic online license validation.

Payments and renewals

Prices and billing terms will be shown before payment. Paid plans do not renew automatically. Each renewal requires a new purchase by the customer. Automatic renewal is currently unavailable. The advertised price is the final amount payable, with no additional taxes or checkout fees.

When you continue from the GuardTune checkout form, you must explicitly accept the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Refund Policy. GuardTune records the policy-acceptance time and policy version with the order for fulfillment, support and audit purposes.

Acceptable use

You may not reverse engineer GuardTune except where applicable law expressly permits it. You may not attempt to bypass licensing, trial restrictions, device limits, security controls or update verification. You may not use GuardTune services for unlawful activity, fraud, abuse or interference with GuardTune systems.

Updates and changes

GuardTune may provide software updates, security fixes, feature improvements and compatibility changes. Some updates may be required for security, licensing or continued compatibility. Features may change as GuardTune develops, particularly during Beta or Preview releases.

Availability

We aim to keep GuardTune services available, but uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed. Services may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical problems, third-party infrastructure failures or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Security software limitations

GuardTune is designed to improve PC security, maintenance and system visibility. The current Beta antivirus capability is a limited foundation release and is not represented as a complete replacement for an established primary antivirus product. No security product can detect or prevent every threat, attack, malware sample, system failure or data-loss event. Users remain responsible for maintaining appropriate backups and following reasonable security practices.

Termination

GuardTune may suspend or terminate access where there is fraud, misuse, unauthorized resale, license circumvention, security abuse or serious violation of these Terms.

Consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer law.
